Our Goals

Creating Local Career Opportunities.

At University Hospitals, we strive to lead local efforts to maintain a robust workforce development system in Northeast Ohio, connecting current UH employees and other residents in the region to new employment opportunities.

Our goals are to:

Eliminate

Address barriers to career development and advancement.

Develop

Advance professional potential and increase aspirations.

Increase

Grow participants’ earning potential and economic impact within their community, which can help move their families out of poverty.

Help

UH meets its workforce planning needs and contributes to a culture of excellence in healthcare.

A Comprehensive Approach

Supporting Our Caregivers – Every Step of the Way

UH’s workforce development model is based on an outside-in/inside-up approach. We help those seeking to enter the organization and assist caregivers currently employed through ongoing coaching and pathway identification. We provide support from career exploration to recruitment, recruitment to employment and from employment to promotion.
