Who We Are

We Are an Integrated Network of Caring Professionals.

University Hospitals is the second largest employer in Northeast Ohio, employing more than 32,000 caregivers.

We serve the needs of patients through an integrated network of 21 hospitals (including five joint ventures), more than 50 health centers and outpatient facilities, and over 200 physician offices in 16 counties throughout northern Ohio. UH features a physician network of 1,780 employed physicians and 3,500 affiliated medical staff members. More than 1,100 residents and fellows train annually at UH in more than 100 residency and fellowship programs.

Benefit Eligibility

  • Eligibility to enroll in UH benefits is available within 30 days of hire for regular status employees scheduled to work 16 or more hours per week.
  • Eligible family members include legal spouses and/or children up to the end of the month when they turn 26, or they may have coverage after age 26 if they qualify as a disabled dependent.

  • No deductible health plan with a higher premium
  • High deductible health plan with a low premium and a health savings account (HSA) — includes a UH contribution
  • High deductible health plan with the lowest premium and an HSA — includes a UH contribution

  • Effective after 6 months of active employment (full-time employees only)
